How do Straight acoustic office screens work?
Acoustic foam is the impressive element of the acoustic partitions. 12mm or 24mm acoustic foam is applied to the front and reverse of all acoustic panels. The 24mm foam is used for the premium range as this absorbs noise from a lower frequency, therefore absorbing more noise overall.
Noise is transmitted in sound waves and when the sound waves head toward to the fabric and foam of the free standing partition, a portion of sound is absorbed and therefore dampened. Whereas, if the same sound wave hits a solid surface, this would reflect back into the space. Which makes no difference to the level of noise at all.
Incorporting any type of acoustic product can make noticeable difference to the space and makes certain that noise isn't causing any lasting damage to the environment and atmosphere.
What are the most effective placements of acoustic panels?
As mentioned, the sound waves are absorbed into the materials, so the placement sound be in direct line or close surrounding areas of the noise. By adding more panels, the more support the space will receive.
Straight desk screens
If having floor standing dividers isn’t an option, don’t worry as we have a solution for this too! Acoustic desk screens are easy to fit to the sides and back of the desk. Providing the same support as the free standing design, except they focus more on the individual desk spaces.
In general, desks are fairly open and exposed, so the ability to add acoustic support as well as privacy is solving multiple issues at once.
Installation of office screening
Our products have been designed for quick and easy installation. The install process takes a matter of minutes and makes certain your acoustic panels are instantly ready for use.
The free standing panels are supplied with either the stability feet or castor wheels. With pre drilled holes in the base of the office screens, the chosen feet fit neatly into place. The stability feet have a trip and wheelchair friendly design ensuring placement anywhere in the office without causing safety concerns.
Please note: Castor wheels are an upgraded option.
For the desk dividers, drill through clamps are supplied as standard, but upgraded easy fix clamps are a popular option. Not only will the easy fix clamps speed up the installation process but no damage it cause to the desktop. A useful feature when looking to adapt the office layout in the future.
