Acoustic room dividers, made in the UK by Rap Industries

Acoustic Room Dividers

Acoustic room dividers combine an acoustic finish with a portable element. We’ve taken our high quality acoustic office screens and applied the lockable castor wheels and transformed into a portable solution.

Having the ability to move acoustic screens round can be beneficial for the space. Move the acoustic support into louder areas, creating temporary work zones and sectioning part of the office for meetings and training sessions.

TThe acoustic and portable aspects are incredibly important, yet when combined create a divider which can be used across a wide range of environments. The acoustic properties are aimed toward loud spaces, whilst the portable castor wheels mean the panel doesn’t have to stay in one place for too long! Make the most of all features to maximise the available floor space.

When it comes to design, the acoustic room divider have a lot to offer. Not only in style but with the available fabric colours, you’re able to go subtle or bold. Choose the correct size, style and fabric colours to confidently work alongside any current office designs and themes.

The difference between acoustic room dividers and concertina room dividers?

The main difference between the dividers is the finish. A concertina divider requires a solid flat surface, without this element the panels can’t fold flush together which is the main aim of the design. To achieve the acoustic finish, we’ve used our popular acoustic single panels and applied the castor wheels. It’s still possible to create a width of choice but without the folding element.

Available acoustic options

Acoustic foam is added a noise absorber and across the range is used in different thicknesses. 12mm and 24mm foam is applied to both sides of a solid core. The solid core gives the strength and structure needed, and the foam and fabric are the soft elements to make the sound absorption possible.

The 12mm option is applied to the Budget and Morton office screens and have the ability to make a difference to loud workspaces. The effectiveness of all acoustic partitions is reliant on the placement, the current surroundings and also the number of panels placed within a certain area.

As a thicker foam, the 24mm is able to absorb more sound at a lower frequency, therefore making a bigger impact on the overall volume.

Moveable screen options

Budget – A cost effective linking solution using 12mm foam

Morton – A mid range acoustic panels with a selection of frame colours, also utilising the 12mm foam.

Delta – From the premium range, includes 24mm foam and the signature blue piped edging

Nova – With deluxe acoustic fabric options available, combined with the 24mm foam, the Nova is the most effective workplace solution.

Can I add any fabric to the screen of choice?

We have many fabric ranges on offer, however these are available for certain portable partitions. Each of the product pages has the available colour option and swatches available so you’re able to pick from the available choices.

Rap Industries provide fabric options from the Woven, Universe, Manhattan, X2 and Blaxer lite fabric. If you'd like to see the fabric colours, contact our team and request swatches to be received via post.
